"A movie review is a reflection of your life." -Michael Phillips What's my spin? I'm often looking at film from an ethical (not moralistic) stance. What does a film communicate about right and wrong especially in relationships?

Day 5: Remind You of Someone
My daughter Mercy has a friend who is always perky, always in charge and always uses her imagination to inspire her and others to do something new. In the controversial Terry Giliam film Tideland, the main character is Jeliza-Rose, a young girl who uses her imagination to comfort her and deliver her in the midst of the worst possible scenarios. Although I have never known a child to face such difficult circumstances, I believe my daughter’s friend has the same imaginative drive and ambition and generally optimistic outlook that makes her a wonderful companion to Jeliza-Rose.
